The Rose and Crown - Welwyn

The Rose & Crown is a 17th-Century pub Grade II listed building in Welwyn, an internal and external refurbishment was carried out with the investment aiming to transform the pub into a quality traditional local pub.

A derelict listed barn in the garden has also been renovated to provide extra space and a stunning venue for private functions ranging from weddings and christenings to business meetings, this required close co-ordination with the conservation officer and required an archaeologist to be present during some of the work.

The revamp has upgraded the building throughout whilst retaining and restoring original features such as flagstone floors, timber beams and an Inglenook fireplace and add a kitchen so that food can be introduced.
